Hey there, everyone! I'm really excited to share my new blog with you. I built this website using Next.js and the Notion API to showcase my work, including my portfolios. But you know what? I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now, so I added a blog section to this website. I love using Notion to organize my thoughts and tasks, even when I'm on the go. It's super user-friendly, and I plan to keep updating this website because it's still in the testing phase.
A Bit About Me
My journey began in 2018 when I started working as a product engineer at a chemical company. My background is in biotechnology, and that's how I landed the job. Initially, I thought managing chemical plants and creating materials was the right fit for me. However, I soon realized I wanted something more creative, where I could experiment and build things on my own.
My entry into programming happened thanks to a friend who was a software engineer. We had a blast playing with a drone he had programmed, and it was incredibly cool! Before that, I had this notion that programming was way too advanced and far from my knowledge. This experience marked a significant turning point in my life and led me to pursue a career as a developer. After that, I spent three years working as a full-stack developer in Japan. I designed and built RESTful APIs and web applications from scratch using technologies like Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. I also explored other technologies like NodeJS and NextJS in my personal projects. I genuinely enjoy working on full-stack web apps, and I hope to continue doing so in my future endeavors.
Current Journey
In May 2023, I made a big decision. I left my job and moved to Vancouver. I'll dive into more details about why I made that choice and what my future plans are in upcoming posts. Essentially, I wanted to advance my career and chase a dream I've had since my university days. Having visited over ten countries, I've always been fascinated by the idea of living and working abroad. While working as a software developer, I had many opportunities to use English resources, and that motivated me tremendously. Regardless of the years that have passed, I firmly believe it's never too late to pursue my dreams. Right now, I'm working hard on improving my English skills and delving into data structures and algorithms to excel in my career. It's not always a walk in the park, but I'm giving it my all.
Posting topic
My blog will mainly cover the following topics:
- Technology
- Recent updates
- Other fun experiences
As my English skills improve, I might write about even more topics. In any case, I'll do my best to write in a way that's easy to understand. So, stay tuned for more updates!
